On the morning of May 6, 2018, at the invitation of President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, Premier Li Keqiang left Beijing by special plane to pay official visits to Indonesia and Japan as well as attend the 7th leaders' meeting of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Japan.

State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council Xiao Jie, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission He Lifeng and other delegation members accompanying Premier Li Keqiang for the visits left Beijing by the same plane.
