BELGRADE (Serbia), April 16 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government said Austria is interested in building mini hydro power plants in the country and tapping on its significant hydro power potential.
Austria is one of Serbia's most important trade partners and is looking to increase economic cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, the government said in a statement following a meeting between Serbian energy minister Aleksandar Antic and Austria's ambassador to the country, Nikolaus Lutterotti.
"We are ready to further strengthen cooperation, especially in the construction of mini hydro power plants," Lutterotti is quoted saying.
He added that Austrian companies are also interested in applying state-of-the-art energy efficiency technologies in Serbia's construction sector.
