BELGRADE (Serbia), May 8 (SeeNews) - Serbia's finance minister Dusan Vujovic has resigned for personal reasons, the government said on Tuesday.
Vujovic has informed prime minister Ana Brnabic of his decision to step down from the position of finance minister in a letter, the government said in a statement.
In the letter, Vujovic wrote that during his tenure significant results were achieved in macroeconomic stabilisation, fiscal consolidation and structural reforms.
"The recognition received from reputable domestic and foreign international financial institutions confirms these results," he said, according to the statement.
The prime minister will now submit a written notification to the speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia in accordance with the procedure.
