Rusovanwillsharehow,duetotheoutstandingsuccessofMLI’schildren-at-riskprograms,MLIwasnamedanofficialpartnerinthefightagainstchildtraffickingwiththeRomanianGovernment’sNationalAgencyforFightingTrafficking.

RusovanwasbornandgrewupunderCommunisminMoldova-Noua,Romania,asmallminingtownontheborderwithSerbia.SheattendedtheTechnicalUniversityofTimisoaragraduatingasanelectricalengineerinJuly1989,afewmonthsbeforetheDecemberRomanianRevolution.AfterthefallofCommunisminRomania,theseverityofthechildwelfarecrisisbecamepubliclyknown.
